Troubleshooting and Maintenance

Computers are the most powerful tools we use on a daily basis ... when they're working correctly. This class begins with an overview of how your computer works, so you can identify problems with different components, and an overview of the infrastructure of the Internet, so you can learn to troubleshoot networking and connectivity problems. With this background knowledge, we'll discuss the analytical process needed to isolate and diagnose technical problems. And we'll include an explanation of data backup options, so that if you can't save your hardware, you can at least save your valuable data.

Please note, the goal of this class is not to solve your technical problems for you, but to give you the skills to solve them yourself as they arise. If you're experiencing a problem currently, bring it in and we'll use it to practice our skills!

You might want to bring a notepad and pen to take notes.
